Note: I am Nepalese, And before I state anything I would like to confirm that a nationality description doesn’t include everyone. So this article is about those general thoughts, ideologies and beliefs that make most Nepalese likable for the world but this can't be right about everyone. (I know this is a general belief but I would love to state it out first)

Introduction

Nepalese have been through a lot of bad times and crises. Earthquakes and several causes of corruption and even crimes nowadays have been occurring frequently in Nepal. Nepal has been through bad times. There has been huge political Instability, Disasters, corruption, Ethnic tensions within the nation. Whereas now there has been hope for change and improvement in our nation.

Top 3 reasons why Nepalese are so nice

Even after issues and problems, Nepalese are stated as nice, lovely and heart-warming people in the world. Our way of hospitality for foreigners with joining hands and smiles. Mark our hospitality. Where I would love to quote this out by a traveler:-

“The first thing I noticed about Nepal was its people. Kind and friendly, ready to help someone in need. This may be a cliché statement you hear from most travelers regarding the country they traveled to. However, I’m saying so because of what I’ve witnessed between the citizens themselves, rather than how they treated me as a visitor. Little things I have witnessed among the people makes me believe that the Nepali people truly are a wonderful bunch.”

Upbringing

Nepalese have been taught strictly about manners and kindness by elders. The structure of joint family and community provides Nepalese with a feel of co-dependency and tolerance since childhood. Nepalese have a belief of sharing due agricultural background gives the virtue of hardworking as well as helping together in a community.

Story: “In my parents' village they used to wake up in the morning and collect every kid from their village to travel together to go to school every day by the eldest kids among them. “ Due to which it has developed a sense of togetherness and family with the whole community which fuels love and kindness in us.

Religion

Nepalese temples

Nepal is a religious nation and has been dominated by hinduism till now. But since ancient times no record of religious violence or ethnic fights have ever occurred in Nepal (Despite some being seen now) .Nepalese have the best religious tolerance for others and their beliefs.

The belief of taking “guest as god” and a deep understanding of religious stories and their essence have the potential to make a man complete and so did those legends have filled a sense of right, dutiful and sense of love for everyone. All of these thousand temples in Nepal aren’t just symbols of worshiping but as a reminder of all those holy lessons on every religion Nepalese follow.

Sorrow

Almost all Nepalese have suffered due to poverty, civil war, protest or bad governance. Lifes of various loved ones have been gone in Nepalese due to even simple diseases such as diarrhea in the past. Also Nepal’s huge dependency for foreign employment and death of sons and daughters in the war has been a huge sorrow for all Nepalese.

Nepalese have really suffered worse which not only bought a habit of loving even in sorrow and smiling even in pain. Nepalese can tolerate which is also a lesson taught of sorrow. There is no village in Nepal where people haven’t suffered but the sense of community and companionship prevent us from loneliness.
