Introduction
Hello. This is one of the articles where I personally also had a lot to add up. But I have been accountable for all the statements stated by me here. Kings and their tales have fascinated me for as long as I remember and I still love to hear podcasts about monarchical tales and the king's wit. But I have written this article not only to express my view but to fill up the minds of people with logical and factual data so when the time comes to choose or to state about monarchical actions we can express it with our moral compass and wit, where we can't be bought or can't be changed with unproved and baseless conversations.
About Monarchy Globally
Among the several forms of government, the monarchy has been stated as the most common governance technique in the 20th century.
A monarchy is a form of the ruling of a state by generally an individual who may or may not hold absolute power according to the state. the monarchy has various types and methodologies. Where it can be passed on the basis of blood relationship, elective form, or the state's own method.[1] In my journey of reading about monarchy, I found this concept to be formed in various ways throughout the globe where it is initialized primarily as the tribe chief in the ancient time. As well as it is also often linked to be connected with mythology or divine power where they have been placed as monarchs as per the deity or even sometimes regarded as deities themselves.[3] Currently, there are 43 sovereign states which have a monarchy.[2]
Countries with monarchy at present
Monarch has been added on the basis of hereditary, self-claimed, or electoral in which hereditary monarchy is the most common type although evidences shows them to be evolved from self-claimed or electoral monarchy where the monarch later declines or removes the management and adds hereditary monarchy.[4] In which monarch is regarded with various titles worldwide. In recent times the king of Saudi Arabia has opposed the monarchical method in which he vested his throne to his sons which is supposed to be given to his brother as per the tradition[5].
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
One of the most reputed monarchs of the globe is Great Britain where fifteen Sovereign nations have Britain's monarch as their head of state. Many nations also added females to the line of succession which was neglected [6] in which Sweden became the first nation where the eldest child of monarch whether female or male ascending to the throne.
History Of Nepal with Monarchy
Nepal has a long history with monarchy as a government structure the Gopalas and Mahishapalas are believed to have been the earliest rulers with their capital at Matatirtha, the south-west corner of the Kathmandu Valley. From the 7th or 8th Century B.C., the Kirantis are said to have ruled the valley. Where their famous king Yalumber is even mentioned in the epic "Mahabharat".
Along with this Nepal has faced various rulers and dynastics as Lichhavi and Mallas. In which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Of Nepal has stated on their site that Mallas have built various temples and splendid places as well as organized the society and the cities. They have introduced religious festivals and encouraged literature, music, and art.

In which ambitious and claimed to have mystics powers [7] the king of Gorkha started the unification of defeating of all the kingdoms
in the valley.
Father of Modern Nepal - Prithivi Narayan Shah
Instead of adding newly acquired states to his kingdom of Gorkha, he moved his capital to Kathmandu by establishing the Shah dynasty ( The last dynasty of Nepal).
Shah Dynasty and it's history
The Shah dynasty faced and suffered from the rules of Rana which lasted for 104 years started by Jung Bahadur Rana who created various massacres to rise to power and increase his family's wealth. Whereas the 9 Rana rulers have ruled Nepal as the prime minister with some improvement and development of Nepal.
Nepalese suffered during their autocratic rule. Rana were clever and established a good relationship with the British government. In which with the rise of freedom In India then King of Nepal King Tribhuwan who had been looking for revolt to regain his power and had failed earlier went to the Indian embassy while disguising his journey for being of hunting and then from Delhi signed the Delhi accord there with 5 provisions. [8]
The Shah dynasty's history returns to the 1500s from Gorkha to Nepal where the Shah kings ruled for over 200 years in Nepal. Where Dravya Shah was the first Shah king. And more than 10 shah kings ruled in Nepal. Under the shah dynasty there have been an absolute monarchy and democratic monarchs both. Their descendants are claimed to be of Rajput origin.[10] However, they are ranked as thakuris.[9]. After the royal massacre King Gyanendra tried to gain the absolute rule like his father. But after the public's revolt he stepped down peacefully as the king. King Gyanendra not being in the line of succession had to become the king of Nepal for two times till now.
Royal Massacre of Nepal
The Royal Massacre of Nepal was a tragic event in the world's history in which the government's report claimed the massacre was done by the crown prince himself.[11][12]
Grief all over the Nation.
Citizens still aren't satisfied with the report[13][14] as the data shows various unbelievable and doubtful events as per the public's view in which along with time prime ministers such as K.P Oli and Puspa Kamal Dahal have even expressed for starting a new research for proper finding of the Royal Massacre. King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya were among the most loved monarchs in Nepal's history. [15][16] Regarded as a handsome king and beautiful queen.
King Birendra is regarded as kind-hearted and a king of people, he showed love for his citizen[17]. He is regarded as a democracy-loving king who showed courage to put his crown in shake for the people[18]. Where royal massacres have been said to be a factor in the end of monarchy. As per our beloved king Birendra, his granddaughters (daughter of Princess Shruti) weren't present there, they along with their father are alive and I as the writer of this article wish best for them.
Return of Monarchy? And my stances
In recent times the last king of Nepal Gyanendra has symbolized for national downfall and has been criticizing the condition of the nation. As well as protests on the lead of businessman Durga Prasai occurred within the valley.
Picture of Protest for returning of Monarchy
This resulted in my personal one day off from college and I believe also caused as one of the factors banning TikTok. I am also a son of Thakuri. And I have found people surrounding me to be generally in favor of monarchy. I myself have been an admirer of the rule in the past but my thoughts and ideas have changed. Democracy is a beautiful system that states the truth about the people's power. I believe blaming is never a solution I call all the Nepalese that our ancestors have made a great deal of sacrifice for this freedom. Let's not forget the bravery of Gurkhas or the wit of warriors. Let's not forget the glory of of Anglo-Nepal war or kind consciousness residing within the people of Nepal. I still ask for a transparent government and a suitable environment for development. It's the job of citizens too for making the government accountable and democracy respects that!
