Poem: 'Love at first sight?'

'When you know you know'
And with you it felt so true
One glance was all it took
forever with you is all I pursue.

That day when the sun kisses you just right
You shined like an angel in the night
Everything you were all that you are
Was meant to be mine written in the stars.

Comfort and peace-that's what it became
A love that quietly began within me
You gave me warmth just by being near
And in that moment, I knew you were where I belonged.

Was it love at first sight?
Not really, I'd confess
I had crossed paths with you often
Before my heart felt its caress
It was a love that grew with time.

Enduring love reveals itself softly
like embers glowing slow and true.
